Elevated Ice accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Freezing drizzles is possible across portions of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana this evening and overnight. A light glaze of ice is possible which will result in slippery conditions on untreated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

Thursday…

Limited Snow Risk.

Friday Night…

Elevated Snow Risk.

Saturday…

Elevated Snow Risk.  Limited Excessive Cold Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk

Sunday…

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There will be additional chances for light freezing drizzle Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. There is a chance of snow or a wintry mix for portions of the region on Thursday. A possibly significant winter storm is possible Friday night into Saturday, though exact strength and location remains uncertain at this distance.
