This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk this morning.  Limited Snow Risk this afternoon and evening.

DISCUSSION…

Winds chills of 20 below to 30 below zero will continue across the area this morning.

Light snow is expected this afternoon into this evening and may affect the evening commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday through Sunday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

Sunday Night and Monday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.  Elevated Snow Risk.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Extreme Excessive Cold Risk.

Thursday…

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Significant snow accumulations are possible Sunday night through Monday. This will be followed by a shot of potentially life threatening cold Tuesday through Thursday of next week.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
