This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Elevated Snow Risk.

Thursday through Sunday…

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A storm system on Tuesday will bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to parts of the area. Some ice accumulations are expected over much of the area during the day Tuesday and could have travel impacts, especially to the evening commute in northern Illinois. Minor snow accumulations are possible Tuesday night in far northern Illinois.

An arctic air mass will bring a period of unseasonably cold conditions Thursday night into the weekend.
