This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…
Significant Excessive cold Risk tonight. Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk this afternoon and evening. Limited Snow Risk this afternoon.
DISCUSSION…
A strong Arctic front passage this afternoon will result in wind gusts to 35 mph this evening and wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero overnight into Friday morning. Light snow showers may accompany this front this afternoon. Additionally, areas of blowing snow are possible in portions of northern Illinois this afternoon and evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.
Friday…
Significant Excessive Cold Risk in the morning. Limited Snow Risk in the afternoon and evening.
Saturday…
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday…
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday night through Monday night…
Limited Excessive Cold Risk. Limited Snow Risk.
Tuesday night and Wednesday…
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Winds chills of 20 below to 30 below zero tonight are expected to continue into Friday morning.
Light snow accumulations are possible Friday afternoon and evening along with continued very cold conditions.
Potentially significant snow accumulations are possible Sunday night through Monday. This will be followed by another shot of bitterly cold air and dangerously low wind chills mid to late next week.
