WHAT…Brief period freezing drizzle this morning, then some more light snow and possible blowing snow this afternoon. Dangerously cold wind chills possible. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch possible this afternoon. Wind chills as low as 55 below zero possible.
WHERE…Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake IL and Ogle Counties.
WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 PM CST this evening. For the Wind Chill Watch, from Tuesday evening through Thursday morning.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
