…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST MONDAY…
WHAT…Heavy snow and blowing snow developing tonight with freezing drizzle and blowing snow likely at times Monday. Snow rates overnight into early morning are likely to exceed an inch per hour at times. This will result in very low visibilities and rapid snow accumulations into the early morning commute. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.
WHERE…McHenry and Lake IL Counties.
WHEN…From 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Monday.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
