Wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero are expected overnight into Friday morning. Additionally, areas of blowing snow are possible in portions of northern Illinois this evening.

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Winds chills of 20 below to 30 below zero tonight are expected to continue into Friday morning.
Light snow accumulations are possible Friday afternoon and evening along with continued very cold conditions.
Significant snow accumulations are possible Sunday night through Monday. This will be followed by a shot of potentially life threatening cold Tuesday through Thursday of next week.
