Extreme Excessive Cold Risk by Tonight. Significant Blowing Snow Risk. Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION…
There is a chance of snow showers from late morning through the evening. Minor accumulation under an inch is possible.
Blowing snow is likely in open areas this afternoon and tonight which could result in hazardous travel conditions.
Wind chills of 15 to 30 below zero today will fall to extremely dangerous levels of 40 to 50 below zero overnight.

Extreme Excessive Cold Risk. Limited Snow and Blowing Snow Risk.
Thursday…
Extreme Excessive Cold Risk. Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:
A period of extreme bitterly cold weather will affect the region through Thursday. Daytime temperatures will remain well below zero Wednesday and will struggle to get above zero Thursday. Nighttime low temperatures of 20 to 30 below zero will be seen Wednesday night. The coldest wind chills will be in dangerous levels from 40 to 55 below zero Wednesday through Thursday morning.
