Elevated Ice accumulation Risk. Elevated Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Freezing rain is expected this evening, mixing with or completely changing to snow in northern locations. Ice accumulations of one tenth to up to near one quarter of an inch are expected. This will cause impacts to the evening commute area wide. Snow is favored overnight in northern locations with total accumulations approaching six inches by daybreak in and near the Rockford area.

Limited Snow Risk. Limited Ice Accumulation Risk. Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday and Friday…
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Saturday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Snow and possibly some brief freezing drizzle is likely north of Interstate 80 Wednesday morning. Accumulating snow will likely cause impacts to the morning commute in northern locations.
