This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Excessive cold Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Wind chills as low as 15 below zero will continue through mid morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.

Thursday night and Friday…

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

Saturday and Sunday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A storm system on Tuesday will bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to parts of the area. Some ice and snow accumulations are expected with this system.

An arctic air mass will bring a period of unseasonably cold conditions Thursday night into the weekend.
