Wednesday morning for portions of northern Illinois. Patchy fog
will be possible after midnight outside of Chicago.

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk in the morning
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for Porter County at night.
Friday...

Sunday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for northwest Indiana.
Monday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A two to five hour period of freezing drizzle, possibly
accompanied with some freezing rain, is likely Wednesday morning
especially for areas along and north of I-80 and primarily outside
of the city of Chicago. This may cause icing and impacts to the
Wednesday morning commute.

A strong low pressure system will affect the area Friday and
Saturday bringing a mix of precipitation types. This includes
the potential for accumulating snow and ice some time Friday and
Friday night, with a possible change back to snow as it departs
Saturday. It is too early for specific forecast snow and ice
amounts with this system. However, there is decent confidence
that a well organized system will affect the area during this time
and cause travel impacts Friday afternoon through Friday night
and possibly into Saturday, including the Friday evening commute.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
