Some freezing drizzle and patchy fog is possible tonight, mainly
north of I-80 and away from the city of Chicago.

Tuesday...
Limited Fog Risk in the morning.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk early morning and then late night.
Wednesday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and sleet Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Some light freezing drizzle is possible early Tuesday morning.
Freezing drizzle is possible again Wednesday morning before
temperatures warm sufficiently for a change over to rain or
drizzle during the day. Some minor ice accumulation is possible
Wednesday morning, mainly north of I-80.
A strong low pressure system may affect the area Friday and
Saturday bringing a mix of precipitation types. This includes
the potential for accumulating snow and ice Friday and Friday
night, with a possible change back to snow as it departs Saturday.
It is too early for specifics but there is decent confidence that
a well organized system will affect the area during this time.
