This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Elevated Ice accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and sleet Risk.
Extreme Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Light rain or drizzle for much of the area this morning will
transition to a light wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow
from northwest to southeast through the day. A period of moderate
to briefly heavy snow is expected for portions of northeast
Illinois into northwest Indiana this evening. Strong winds gusting
to 40 mph inland and near 50 mph along the lakeshore will combine
with the snow to produce hazardous conditions and periods of
significantly reduced visibility this evening.

Strong north to northeasterly winds will continue into this
evening, resulting in large waves on Lake Michigan. This will
bring a significant risk for lakeshore flooding on the Illinois
and Indiana shores through tonight.

The cumulative effect of heavy rain last night and additional
precipitation through tonight will result in a continued flood
risk, especially on some area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday morning...
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Sunday night...
Limited Snow Risk north.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
