DISCUSSION...
Gusty southerly winds will continue tonight with wind gusts up to
35 mph.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:
There is an increasing potential for a potent storm system to
impact the region late Friday through Saturday night. Significant
ice accumulations are possible across portions of north central
and far northeastern Illinois late Friday night and Saturday
morning. Accumulating snow and sleet is also possible for the area
on Saturday and Saturday Night. While uncertainty still exists
with the exact track of the storm system into Saturday evening,
there are signs that the heaviest snowfall late Saturday and
Saturday evening may fall over north central and parts of far
northeastern IL.
Strong north to northeasterly winds are expected to develop
Friday night which will build waves, potentially bringing a
significant risk for lakeshore flooding on the the Illinois and
Indiana shores late Friday night through Saturday night.
Finally, waves of moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall may
result in a risk for flooding for locales roughly south and east
of I-55, especially on Friday night.
