This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Fog Risk this morning.
Limited Ice accumulation Risk late tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Areas of fog will be seen across mainly north central and
northwest Illinois this morning. Some of this fog may reduce
visibility to under one half mile.
While any drizzle early this morning will likely not have any
impacts with freezing, very late tonight there may be some
freezing drizzle to develop toward the I-39 and I-74 corridors.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow and Sleet Risk.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A few hour period of freezing drizzle, possibly accompanied
with some freezing rain, is likely Wednesday morning especially
for areas along and north of I-80. This may cause icing and
impacts to the Wednesday morning commute.
A strong low pressure system may affect the area Friday and
Saturday bringing a mix of precipitation types. This includes
the potential for accumulating snow and ice some time Friday and
Friday night, with a possible change back to snow as it departs
Saturday. It is too early for specifics but there is decent
confidence that a well organized system will affect the area
during this time.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
