This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Areas of fog are possible across far northern Illinois this morning. Widespread dense fog is not anticipated.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Significant Ice Accumulation Risk.

Wednesday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.

Thursday through Saturday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The potential exists for a period of mixed freezing rain and sleet across parts of the area Tuesday night, and again Wednesday night. Light ice accumulations are possible, which could lead to slippery travel conditions.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.
