This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Ice accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Light snow will develop midday and could change to freezing  drizzle before ending early this evening. Light freezing  drizzle may re-develop tonight, especially south of I-80. A  light glaze of ice is possible on untreated surfaces if  freezing drizzle occurs.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Elevated Snow Risk.

Tuesday…

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Limited Snow Risk.

Friday and Saturday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk

DISCUSSION:

A light wintry mix is possible Monday and Monday night.
There is a better chance of a wintry mix and accumulating snow  north of I-88 and I-290 Tuesday.
