…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CST WEDNESDAY…

  • WHAT…Snow and strong winds. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

  • WHERE…Winnebago…Boone…McHenry…and Lake Counties.

  • WHEN…Until 3 AM CST Wednesday.

  • IMPACTS…The strong winds will increase the threat of power outages, especially for areas that saw more significant ice accumulation last night. Wind whipped snow showers will also significantly reduce visibility.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions as well as some blowing snow, mainly in open locations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

This Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow and gusty winds will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads at times and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
