…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY NIGHT…
WHAT…Snow with some mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
WHERE…McHenry and Lake Counties.
WHEN…Until midnight CST Tuesday night.
IMPACTS…Strong westerly winds are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon and continue Tuesday night. These strong winds may result in blowing snow and may also increase the threat of power outages, especially for areas that do see ice accumulations tonight and Tuesday morning.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel could be very difficult in places. The hazardous conditions are likely to impact the tail end of this evening's commute, the Tuesday morning commute, and the Tuesday evening commute.
