This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited, locally Elevated Snow Risk this morning.

DISCUSSION…

Widespread light snow will taper off this morning, but lake enhanced snow will move across areas adjacent to Lake Michigan in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana this morning. Additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible in any heavier bands of snow.

Flooding will continue on portions of the Illinois river.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday night and Wednesday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Elevated Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Another messy weather system will spread snow, rain, and freezing rain across the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. Snow and light ice accumulations are expected with this system. The highest likelihood for ice, if it does occur, would be Wednesday morning.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
