This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Ice accumulation Risk late.  Limited Snow Risk tonight

DISCUSSION…

Snow will increase across the area tonight from southwest to northeast. Snow may transition to freezing rain well south of I-80 before daybreak.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday…

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.  Limited Snow Risk.

Saturday…

Limited Snow Risk at night.

Sunday…

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Snow to start the morning commute will likely transition to freezing drizzle or freezing rain during the morning hours. Warmer air will shift in from the south which will transition some areas to just plain rain. Snow and ice accumulations will make for hazardous road conditions.
