…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CST WEDNESDAY…
WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
WHERE…Lake IL and McHenry Counties.
WHEN…Until 3 AM CST Wednesday.
IMPACTS…Strong westerly winds are expected to develop this afternoon and continue tonight. These strong winds will increase the threat of power outages, especially for areas that saw more significant ice accumulation. Wind whipped snow showers may significantly reduce visibility.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
