This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Non thunderstorm wind Risk.  Elevated Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION…

A few isolated thunderstorms embedded within widespread showers will be possible through this evening. Locally gusty winds will be possible with any thunderstorm or heavier shower.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.  Significant Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk

Monday through Thursday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Very strong and potentially damaging westerly winds are expected Sunday morning into Sunday evening.

Scattered snow showers along with the strong winds may produce short periods of near white-out conditions Sunday morning.

Very Strong winds and high waves may produce some coastal flooding, mainly for the Porter County, Indiana shore.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the NE at 50 to 60 mph.
