This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.

Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.

Sunday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.  Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

Monday through Wednesday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A deep low pressure system will lift across the region this weekend. There is a chance that locations north of an Evanston to Mendota line may see freezing rain late Friday night into Saturday morning, with light ice accumulation possible. A strong cold front will sweep across the region Saturday night. There will be a chance for thunderstorms Saturday ahead of the cold front. Strong west-northwest winds up to 45 mph are possible from early Sunday morning into Sunday evening following the passage of the front.
