This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Significant Fog Risk.  Limited Ice accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Fog and low clouds will continue to overspread the region later today and tonight bringing along a chance for drizzle. While air temperatures are above freezing, cold ground due to recent sub- zero weather and deep snow cover may result in freezing drizzle, particularly over far northern Illinois. Freezing drizzle may result in slippery conditions on untreated roads and sidewalks especially this afternoon and evening.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Significant Fog Risk.

Tuesday night…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk south.  Limited Snow Risk north.

Friday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There will be periodic chances for wintry weather or a wintry mix Tuesday night through Thursday.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
