This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Significant Fog Risk.  

DISCUSSION…

A mild, moist air mass will continue to spread north across cold ground and snow cover through tonight. Areas of fog are likely at times, and fog may become dense in some spots later today or this evening, especially across the deeper snow pack of far northern Illinois.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Significant Fog Risk.

Tuesday…

Significant Ice Accumulation Risk.  Limited Snow and Sleet Risk.

Wednesday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.  Limited Snow and Sleet Risk.

Friday and Saturday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The potential exists for a couple of periods of a wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain from Tuesday night through Thursday.

The threat for localized ice jam flooding will continue on area rivers.
