This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited hail risk...up to half dollar size. Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph. Limited Flooding Risk. Limited Excessive heat Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Thunderstorms are possible along and south of I-88 this this afternoon and evening. There is a chance for some isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms that may produce large hail and strong, damaging wind gusts. There is also a chance that an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out associated with the strongest storms. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible with the stronger storms posing a flood or flash flood threat.

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Hot and humid conditions are expected through early next week with heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees possible Sunday and Monday. In addition, there are periodic chances for thunderstorms, with severe storms possible Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening across much of the outlook area.
