This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Early this Morning through Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk late tonight.

DISCUSSION…

A slow moving low pressure system will approach the area tonight. Showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop from west to east mainly after midnight tonight. Severe weather is not expected… though locally heavy downpours will be possible by Wednesday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday…

Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Thursday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Friday through Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Monday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The slow moving low pressure system will continue to move through the region Wednesday into Thursday. Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected, some of which may produce heavy downpours and potentially localized flooding Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
