This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

A few thunderstorms are possible north of Interstate 80 late tonight. Severe weather is not expected with any of these storms, though some gusty winds will be possible with any storms that make it into the area late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.

Wednesday through Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are probable Monday and Tuesday, with some risk for severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall Monday afternoon and evening. Another round of strong to severe storms and heavy rain will be possible Tuesday, mainly south of Interstate 80.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 25 to 30 MPH.
