This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk north late tonight.  Elevated Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Hot and humid conditions are likely today, with heat indices at or above 105 degrees expected for areas along and south of I-88.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible late tonight mainly for far northern Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

Wednesday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

Friday and Saturday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.

Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Hot and humid conditions are possible again Tuesday, with heat indices possibly reaching 100 to 105 degrees in some locations. In addition, there are periodic chances for thunderstorms with severe storms producing heavy rainfall possible, especially Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.
