This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION…

The chance of thunderstorms increases by the predawn hours,  mainly for areas west of I-39.
Also, strong onshore winds will produce dangerous swim conditions  along the Illinois shore, especially starting after midnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  High Swim Risk

Tuesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk

Wednesday…

Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk

Friday and Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Dangerous swim conditions will continue through Monday night for  the Illinois shore. The shore of both Illinois and Indiana will  see dangerous swim conditions Tuesday and Tuesday night.  Lakeshore flooding is possible Tuesday especially for the  Indiana shore.
There is a chance that some thunderstorms Monday could be strong  to severe with damaging winds the primary concern. Locally heavy  rain also is possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 5 mph.
