This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION…

There is a chance of thunderstorms during the predawn hours  Friday morning for western portions of the outlook area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

Friday…

Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Sunday through Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is an elevated flooding risk Friday night due to recent  heavy rainfall and the chance for additional moderate to heavy  rainfall, mainly in areas toward the Wisconsin line.
Strong onshore winds will support large waves and a high swim  risk Friday along the Illinois shore, especially in Lake County.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

Moving toward the east at 10 mph.
