This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…Early this Morning through Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph. Significant Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Areas of dense fog are likely early this morning, mainly across portions of north central Illinois. Visibility will be as low as a quarter mile in these areas, before improving a couple hours after sunrise. Scattered thunderstorms will then develop this afternoon. These storms will will produce brief heavy downpours. A few strong storms, capable of producing isolated damaging wind gusts, will be possible across far southern portions of the outlook area, mainly south of a Peru Illinois to Rensselaer Indiana line. Scattered thunderstorms will remain possible overnight, and on Friday, as an upper level disturbance tracks across the region.
