...Slippery Travel Developing This Morning...
Snow will impact the busy holiday travel day today. Snow will
develop across northern Illinois around daybreak. The snow will
be light and fluffy, but should quickly accumulate on pavement
this morning into early afternoon. This will create slippery
travel conditions on untreated roads. Total snow accumulations of
1 to 3 inches are expected. Heavier snow will occur as you head
farther south. Snow will taper off during the mid afternoon hours
across northern Illinois, lasting longest near the lakefront. Be
prepared to slow down and allow extra time to reach your
destination today.
