THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Wind chills 15 below to 25 below zero will be possible through
early this afternoon.

Lake effect snow showers may cause minor snow accumulations in
northeast Porter County. Additional snow showers may produce
minor snow accumulations late tonight for areas south of
Interstate 88 and west of Interstate 57.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Monday...
Extreme Excessive Cold Risk.
Tuesday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Wednesday through Friday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Very cold conditions will continue through next week. Wind chills
20 below to as cold as 30 below zero are expected Sunday night
through Tuesday morning. Wind chills near 20 below are possible
Thursday morning.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
