THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Limited Snow and Sleet Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A light wintry mix is expected across at times late today into
tonight across parts of northern Illinois, mainly for outlying
areas along and north of Interstate 88. There is potential for
light icing tonight from freezing drizzle that could cause
hazardous travel conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Excessive Cold Risk Sunday night.
Monday and Tuesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a chance for snow on Sunday and Sunday evening. A very
cold air mass will move into the area on Sunday night, with
minimum wind chills several degrees below zero possible Sunday
night into Monday morning and again Monday night into Tuesday.
