THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A band of moderate snow stretching from downtown Chicago through
Gibson City, Illinois will continue east early this morning.
Light snow and flurries will continue through mid morning. Snow
totals will be 2 inches or less across much of the area.
Lake effect snow will then impact northwest Indiana. A band of
moderate to heavy snow may set up over Porter County for a couple
of hours this morning. Snow totals will vary from 1-2 inches in
Lake County to 3-6 inches over northeast Porter County.
Northwest winds will gust to 35 MPH, and higher gusts to 45 MPH
are expected along the northwest Indiana Lake Michigan shore.
Blowing snow may lead to whiteout conditions in Porter County.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Snow Risk.
