THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Light Snow Risk toward morning.

DISCUSSION:

Low pressure, associated with a quick moving mid-level
disturbance, will pass across the upper Midwest late Thursday
into Thursday night. While the greatest potential for light
snow with this system will be mainly north of the outlook
area, a couple of periods of light snow will be possible
Thursday morning into Thursday evening, mainly north of the
Interstate 80 corridor. Locations near the Wisconsin and
Illinois border could see around an inch to an inch and a
half of light snow accumulation by the time precipitation
ends Thursday evening, with less than an inch farther south.

Prior to the arrival of clouds and snow late tonight,
temperatures will likely dip below zero this evening in
most

Thursday and Friday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Light Snow Risk.
Saturday through Tuesday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
