THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Snow Risk late tonight.
DISCUSSION:
Light snow may spread into portions of central Illinois early
Sunday morning with minor snow accumulations possible southwest
of a Peru to Kankakee to Fowler line.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday...
Significant Snow Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Accumulating snow will spread across the area Sunday morning
and continue through Sunday afternoon. Snowfall amounts are
expected to range from 1 to 2 inches across far northern
Illinois to 3 to 6 inches along and south of Interstate 80.
Lake effect snow is expected across northwest Indiana...where
snow amounts of 4 to 8 inches are possible near Lake Michigan.
A period of moderate to heavy snow is possible...when snowfall
rates between one half and one inch per hour will be possible
during the late morning and early afternoon...especially for
areas along and south of Interstate 80. The snow is expected
to be over by sunset late Sunday afternoon...except in far
northwest Indiana where lake effect snow may linger into Sunday
evening.
Much colder air will spread across the region early next week
with overnight lows frequently in the single digits and highs
only in the teens through midweek. Minimum wind chill readings
will range from 10 below to 15 below zero Tuesday and Wednesday
mornings.
