THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Fog Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Light precipitation will exist east today. Some light freezing
drizzle is still possible across north central Illinois, including the
Rockford area, along with locations north of Interstate 88.

Some fog is also possible this morning, but do not expect dense fog.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Sunday...
Elevated Snow Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a chance for snow on Sunday. At this point areas south of
Interstate 80 are favored. A very cold air mass will
move into the area on Sunday night, with minimum wind chills
near or below zero overnight into the early morning hours Christmas
Day through Wednesday.
