THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A couple of periods of light snow will be possible
Thursday morning into Thursday evening, mainly north of the
Interstate 80 corridor. Locations near the Wisconsin and
Illinois border could see around an inch of light snow accumulation by the
time precipitation ends Thursday evening, with less than an inch
farther south.

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Saturday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk
Monday through Tuesday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Wednesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A round of more widespread accumulating snowfall is expected on Friday. Higher
accumulations will likely fall southeast of a Freeport to Kankakee
to Valparaiso line, but many areas will see snow. Lake effect snow will
continue across NW Indiana Sunday, possibly spreading into northeast
Illinois Sunday. Otherwise, dangerously cold air will return Saturday
through early next week.
