THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

An area of light snow will move across much of northern Illinois
and northwest Indiana through this evening. Although snow
accumulation will stay at or below an inch, snow covered roads
will provide slippery conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Saturday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Sunday...
Extreme Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Monday...
Extreme Excessive Cold Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A round of widespread accumulating snowfall is expected Friday
through Friday evening. Higher accumulations will likely fall
along and south of a Freeport to Kankakee to Wheatfield Indiana
line, but most areas will see snow. Lake effect snow will continue
across northwest Indiana Saturday night into Sunday, possibly
spreading into northeast Illinois Sunday. Otherwise, dangerously
cold air will return Saturday through late next week.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
