This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
High Swim Risk
DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will continue along and south of a line from
Chicago to LaSalle through the afternoon. Heavy rainfall and isolated
flooding will be possible with any storms. There is a chance for gusty
winds to 50 or 60 mph mainly east of Interstate 55 and south of Interstate
80.
Increasing northerly winds today will result in building waves
along the Lake Michigan shore by early to mid afternoon. This
will create dangerous swimming conditions especially from
Chicago south and east.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
High Swim Risk
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Breezy northerly winds over Lake Michigan on Monday will
continue to build waves along Illinois and Indiana beaches.
This will result in dangerous swimming conditions.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not anticipated, though there may be
a couple severe storms south of I-80 this afternoon. Rainfall
reports are also appreciated.

Moving toward the east at 10 to 20 mph.
