This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible tonight, likely after
midnight. Although widely scattered storms are likely early this
evening over much of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, the
highest potential for strong storms is over north central Illinois
late tonight. The main threats are damaging winds and heavy rainfall
with localized flooding.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Significant Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday...
Extreme Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Significant Excessive Heat Risk.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Some strong thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall
and strong wind gusts are possible across northern Illinois
early Thursday morning.

Heat will build to dangerous levels for the entire area Thursday
afternoon through Saturday. Heat indices look to climb in excess
of 105 degrees for much of the area. Very warm overnight
temperatures will offer little relief from the heat and humidity,
especially in the urban heat island of Chicago.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed late Tonight over north central IL.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 25 to 45 mph.
