This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are likely again today, especially this
afternoon and evening. The greatest coverage of storms should
be south of I-80 and west of I-355. An isolated storm or two
could become severe with very localized damaging wind gusts. In
addition, storms today could produce very heavy rainfall that
could result in some localized flooding due to the slow storm
movement.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday and Friday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will likely not be needed, however spotters
should relay any reports of high winds or measured heavy
rainfall total or flooding.
