This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Extreme Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Heat to dangerous levels will be in place across the entire area
today. Heat indices will climb to or in excess of 110 degrees for
much of the area. Very warm overnight temperatures will offer
little relief from the heat and humidity, especially in the urban
heat island of Chicago.
Isolated thunderstorms will be seen in far northern Illinois
early this morning. Severe weather is not expected, though
some gusty winds to 45 mph and locally heavy rainfall are
possible. There is also a small chance for thunderstorms again
overnight in far northern Illinois.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Significant Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Heat to dangerous levels will continue for the entire area
through Saturday. Heat indices will climb back to around 110
degrees for much of the area on Saturday. Very warm overnight
temperatures will again offer little relief from the heat and
humidity.
Strong thunderstorms along with a heavy rainfall and some flash
flood risk are possible over the area late Saturday through
Sunday morning.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
