This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are likely again today, especially from
mid-afternoon through the evening. The greatest coverage of storms
should be south of I-80 and west of I-355, however,some isolated
thunderstorms are possible over the entire outlook area. Some of
stronger storms could become severe with very localized damaging
wind gusts. In addition, storms today could produce very heavy
rainfall that could result in some localized flooding due to
slow storm movement.
