This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 50 to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the area
through midday. Severe weather is not expected, but the stronger
showers and any thunderstorms will produce heavy downpours.
Additional thunderstorms are expected this afternoon, with the
highest coverage expected along and southeast of I-55. A few
strong storms and perhaps an isolated severe storm are possible.
The main thunderstorm threats this afternoon through early evening
are expected to be lightning and heavy rain, but in the strongest
storms, gusty to locally damaging winds will be possible, along
with localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed this afternoon through early evening,
mainly along and south of I-55.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 25 to 35 mph.
