This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 50 to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the area this
morning. Severe weather is not expected, but the stronger showers
and any thunderstorms will produce heavy downpours. Scattered
thunderstorms are expected to redevelop ahead of a cold front by
mid afternoon, with the highest coverage expected southeast of
I-55. A few strong storms and perhaps an isolated severe storm are
possible, primarily along and south of the Kankakee River. The main
thunderstorm threats this afternoon through early evening are
expected to be lightning and heavy rain, but in the strongest
storms, gusty to locally damaging winds will be possible, along
with localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed mid afternoon through early evening, mainly
along and south of the Kankakee River.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east this morning and east to southeast this
afternoon and evening, at 20 to 30 mph.
