This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk
DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms will develop across eastern Iowa through the
afternoon and some of these storms may move into the region this
evening. While severe weather is not currently expected, a few
stronger storms will be possible with a threat for small hail,
mainly for locales west of I-39. Additional isolated to scattered
thunderstorms may develop after midnight across the area.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Wednesday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday through Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms will diminish in coverage through Wednesday morning.
Heat indices in the mid and upper 90s are expected during the
afternoon, with isolated heat index readings of 100 to 104 degree
readings possible near and east of I-55 and south of I-80.
Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday
afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could become strong to
severe with a threat for large hail and damaging winds.
Hot and humid conditions will return this weekend with additional
showers and thunderstorms possible.

Spotter activation is not expected through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
